Post-Polio Health International's mission
is to enhance the lives and independence of
polio survivors and home ventilator users through
Education, Advocacy, Research and Networking.
From Polio Australia’s September 2016 Conference Polio Australia is intending to upload all presentations they have been provided with onto the www.postpolioconference.org.au website over the coming weeks, together with videos, photos and articles relating to the Conference.
Abstracts from the Australian Post-Polio Conference are in the Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine as a PDF.
Joan L. Headley and Brian Tiburzi from PHI attended the meeting. Brian filmed a dozen sessions that will be uploaded to Polio Place and shared with Polio Australia.
Here are links to the PowerPoints of Joan’s three presentations. Without the script, a few of the slides (and their sequencing) may be vague or “curious.”

What activities do you enjoy with your family? What activities do you enjoy with your “disability” family? Send us a photo that illustrates polio survivors are active participants in family life. Have you taken your grandkids on a trip? Have you participated in their school activities? Do you contribute to your family life day-to-day in ways that may “surprise” others who do not have a disability? Send us your photos of families in action and help us tell the world that WE’RE STILL HERE! See more ...
